Relais Bocca di Leone is located in the very heart of Rome, very close to Piazza di Spagna, the streets of fashion, extraordinary views of the eternal city. Below are the main attractions that you will find very close to the B&B.
PIAZZA DI SPAGNA
At the foot of the Spanish Steps is Barcaccia Fountain, the work of Pietro Bernini and his most famous son, Gian Lorenzo, which they created at the beginning of the Baroque period. The Piazza di Spagna is one of the most famous squares in Rome and it owes its name to the Palacio de España, which is the site of the Spanish Embassy.
TREVI FOUNTAIN
The largest and most important fountain in Rome. The complex design and architecture was the work of Nicolo Salvi. Built in 1732, the fountain is considered as a successful union of the Classical and Baroque periods.
PIAZZA NAVONA
In Ancient Rome, this was where the Stadium of Domitian was built by Emperor Domitian in 85 A.D. Today, Piazza Navona is one of Baroque Rome's most important examples and it is home to many works of art by Gian Lorenzo Bernini, Francesco Borromini and Pietro da Cortona.
THE COLOSSEUM
Originally known as the Flavian Amphitheatre, the Colosseum is the largest Roman amphitheatre and probably the most important monument from Imperial Rome still standing today. It was designed to host 50,000 spectators.
